Pregnancy is a season full of excitement and change! Finding ways to connect as a couple can make it even more special. If you’re looking for pregnant date night ideas that work for you and your growing belly, here are five great options to try in Northwest Arkansas. No matter which idea you choose, the most important part is spending time together.
#1 Pregnancy Date Night Idea: Pedicures!
Pregnancy can be tough on your feet. Swollen ankles and sore arches are all too common, making a pedicure a perfect treat. Pinnacle Nail Spa Rogers is my favorite spot for its relaxing atmosphere and excellent service.
Not sure your partner will join you? Give it a try! My husband was hesitant during my first pregnancy, but by our third, he looked forward to it.
#2: Baby Name Brainstorming
If you’re looking for a simple yet meaningful date idea, take a stroll along the University of Arkansas Senior Walk. Graduates’ names are engraved in the sidewalks, offering endless inspiration for baby names.
One of our most memorable dates happened here. We found two of our boys’ names from the year 1921 and even picked out names for our third baby that night. It’s a fun way to dream about your family’s future.
#3: A Picnic and a Walk
If you’re looking for something a bit more active, consider a day at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. It’s perfect for a relaxed outing, especially during pregnancy. The trails are easy to navigate and have restrooms at the trailhead and near Airship Coffee, and that’s a must when you’re expecting!
Pack a picnic with your favorite pregnancy-safe snacks (so…maybe skip the bottle of wine this time). Find a peaceful spot by the creek or near the red barn and soak in the natural beauty.
#4: Date Night Progressive Dinner
Enjoying a meal out can be tricky after your baby arrives, so take the chance now to indulge. A progressive dinner lets you explore multiple restaurants in one evening.
Start with appetizers at Oven and Tap. Then, head to The Hive for your main course (their burgers are a personal favorite!). End the night with ice cream from Spark Café. It’s a fun and delicious way to spend time together.
#5: Maternity Photos to Capture This Season
Maternity photos are a wonderful way to celebrate your growing family. In fact, I skipped them during my first pregnancy, and as a result, I regret it to this day. Looking back, I wish I had those special moments documented to remember how incredible it was to be growing a tiny human.
Northwest Arkansas has many scenic spots, like Tanyard Creek or the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Hire a photographer (HELLO!) who specializes in maternity sessions. They’ll help you feel confident and make the experience easy for you and your partner.
Pregnancy is a unique and special season. These pregnant date night ideas are perfect for bonding, relaxing, and making lasting memories before your little one arrives. So, give these ideas a try and enjoy every moment of this exciting journey!
