I am a newborn photographer in Fayetteville and the surrounding area, and I recently had the pleasure of photographing a lifestyle session for baby Kennedy and her family on her 2-week birthday. Here is a peek into our session!
It was a sunny early spring afternoon, and the light filtering through the windows of her nursery created such a warm and ethereal atmosphere for the shoot. The nursery was decorated with sweet heirloom items that belonged to Kennedy’s mom and aunt: delicate dresses, a dainty hair brush, and tiny lace-cuffed baby socks. Each item held special meaning and added to the overall organic and natural feel I’m always aiming for.
One of the things I love about lifestyle sessions is capturing the unposed moments. It’s so special to create images that feel genuine and heartfelt, rather than forced or staged. Maybe the most memorable moment from the shoot was when Kennedy’s 4-legged big brother, Buckets, came over to investigate what was happening. He sniffed around curiously, and then settled down next to the family, clearly eager to be a part of the memories.
As I clicked away, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for being able to capture these precious moments for Kennedy’s family. The love and connection between them was palpable, and it was an honor to be able to freeze these fleeting moments in time through my lens. I hope they’ll treasure the images for years to come.
